Our History
Hans Kossmann, founder and Managing Director of the company contributes with his important background of technical and field experience with over 30 years in the aquaculture industry.
During the ISA virus crisis in 2007, the aquaculture industry in Chile faced one of the worst moments in its history with substantial production losses.
Hans, who had been a pioneer in the farming of Atlantic salmon, promised himself that he would find a way to fight against salmon diseases to prevent new situations as critical as those experienced that year.
After years of research and testing various methods, he succeeded to design the technology that brings SalmoClinic to life.
This company is the result of his strong confidence in the potential of a sustainable salmon industry, based on scientific knowledge and technological innovation to face the challenges related to the health of the fish, their overall well-being and environmental care.

OUR PROMISE
MAIN APPLICATIONS
Caligus Bath Treatments
Requires only a fraction of the water/pesticide compared to other bath treatment options.
The treatment water is filtered, the parasites are retained, and the pesticide can be degraded or retained, avoiding environmental impact.
It opens the possibility of registering new highly effective medicinal products against Caligus.
Very low stress compared to currently available non-medicinal treatments.
Freshwater Baths against Amoebas
30 minutes Freshwater baths.
The amoeba detaches from the gills upon contact with freshwater. The amoeba is destroyed by UV rays in the recirculation flow before the treatment water is discharged to the sea.
Other Applications
Fresh water or sea water baths with high cost natural active products.
